  • Please post the mekor (source) for the Halacha cited.
  • This thread is not for debate or lengthy discussion of the mentioned halachos. That can be done in the Discussions Thread. Unless you either believe that there is a serious error in din or have a limud z’chus - in that case please cite the source.
@AsherO

I would like a list of potential pitfalls. This is not the Shulchan Aruch here, but to raise awareness, so people will know to look into it, or ask their rabbi.

As per the intention of the OP and the consensus of the majority of posters on the thread - once there are more than a couple of comments on a Halacha - take it to the Discussions Thread

I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Learning new things here:
So I'm the weird one that comes back from MIncha, Kabolas Shabbes, Maariv and make Kiddush and eat....

Just because there are people who do something that you never heard of doesn't make the alternative weird.

you will seldom find a chossid doing this. This may explain why @SuperFlyer thinks it is unheard of....

Most Litvaks do not follow the shitas HaGr"a exclusively. In this case, he is arguing on a M"A, and the Mshn"b is soisem like the M"A and does not bring the Gr"a. But for a Chossid, hanhagas Ha'ari is sacrosanct...

Okay guys, since you insist on cluttering, bring the sources that it's allowed leKatchila please.
If you don't want it cluttered the do your research before you post something, speak the whole halacha out, and add in as many other shittas as possible.

But to post a "halachik point" in a very simplified way and then hope no one calls you out on it on DDF is a Bracha Levatala... (this last point is not halachik, its demogogik)

Like always, almost every Halacha is a Machlokes.

The idea for this thread is to bring up awareness to potential pitfalls for Halachos for people that might not even be aware of them.

(In case that was not obvious: I'm not a Possek and have no authority in the field, and I doubt that you, spending time on DDF aren't one either. So please, understand what this thread is about.)
