That only 2 places in the world experience what’s called a “jubilee”. This is a shallow-water phenomenon occurring in summer caused by a lack of oxygen in the water, which forces all kinds of bottom-dwelling fish into the shallows where they congregate along the beach.

huh? maybe it's your own thing, who eats hot peppers? are you sfaradi? Israeli/sfardi's love hot stuff, and kids too for whatever reason.

I happen to just finish a can of hot peppers, because my kids were trying to convince me that it's good, well it like a spice, you add a little bit to your sandwich okay, but to say I like hot peppers is like saying I like garlic powder.

Think he meant hot chicken poppers

Yep. I was googling recipes and could only find kosher sites (and a non-kosher chef that never heard of it and linked to a kosher recipe.) I thought it was such a well known dish.

Perhaps you searched "Kosher" recipes... ::)

Isn't that the name Dougies gave them? Did they originate the dish?

They call it fire poppers but my guess is they originated it or at the very least popularized it

I'm guessing that the original American dish is buffalo wings, not poppers. Buffalo is just a borrowed term for anything chicken, spicy/chilly and nugget size.

It may not be an American dish, still doesn't have to be a  "Jewish thing". More like Mexican food...

I Googled: "Dishes that include hot peppers". Not even one jewish site or dish showed up...
