I have access to a dealer plate. The issue is that officially it's meant for transporting vehicles for business purposes. If a cop sees 8 kids in the back it'll be kind of a dead giveaway...

Is there such a thing as an emergency DMV service guy, who charges a lot and does emergency work?

Yes BH. A few friends got involved. Couldn’t solve the registration issue but got me a rental that fit everyone, and someone else offered to take some luggage. Now I just have to get back after, but hopefully will go easier.
