To be clear, he wasn’t kicked off the plane for being Jewish, there were probably other Jewish passengers on the plane that weren’t kicked off. He was kicked off for presenting as an Orthodox Jew.
The Jew detector device was out of commission so they had to do it manually, with poor results.
