We took frozen Pomegranate, we put it in our suitcases and were not bothered.

I was told as long as you don't throw it in their face that you are bringing food it should not be a problem.

I just stayed at the Hyatt and it is nothing special.

From what I heard around on the street the Hyatt is the nicest hotel on the island so probably the best way to go.

Any decent hotel options available for point redemptions? No SPG hotels, and I've never used points on any others. I have UR and access to MR.

Define decent?

There is a hyatt which is nice, but nothing special.

Anyone stayed at raddison? I have some club Carlson points to burn & figured Aruba might be a good place to use them.. Also have chase, Spg & Marriott but if the raddison is nice I would prob use the Carlson...

It is now a Hilton. I was there this summer and stayed at the Ritz Carlton.
Also Aruba is a very small island with not much to do. Great for R&R which was our purpose. Lots of water sports and beautiful beaches. Nightlife is basically casinos.

Although the Hyatt is not a great option. I still think it is the best option in Aruba.

The grounds are nice. The pools are really nice, and service is on the better side.

Indeed. (But, I am also HGP DIA, so HH DIA alone isn't enough. It's more about the 2-4-1.)

Question remains if those people who booked CC with CC 2-4-1 bennies try to change dates now that it's a Hilton will be able to keep the 2-4-1.
