The westin looks dinky from the outside but its really not bad inside, I enjoyed my stay there. They gave me a fridge and microwave within 10 minutes of checkin. Did you even have a balcony there?

I guess it's too late now, but I would have said yes. There is a very old shul there that is worth visiting for historic reasons (though it is now used by Reform). You would also get a more Dutch flavored culture there and less touristy.

"99% of the rooms in the Hyatt have miniscule balconies, barely enough room to stand on.  Forget about relaxing while lounging on a balcony here."

In that case Westin balconies seem bigger.

Did anybody have a good experience at the Hyatt in Aruba?

Mxchanging my amex points for Hyatt and there is no other property in the Caribbean, I was thinking about hi but I only have from Sunday until Thursday. Anybody have any other ideas?

go to the marriot and take the timeshare tour the hotel will give you a nice deal its much much cheaper
the hyatt is very nice though

I would suggest you sell your Amex points use the $ for great rates I can get you at the Radisson Aruba, probably the best hotel there.
