I was a little saddened that around 2 or 3 of the 5 weighted exams were just pulled from the topic exams
yes, that was a bummer!

Is this sort of training/certification a career path you would recommend for a Bais Yaakov girl? My daughter is currently looking at different career options, ideally without the need for a full college degree

It's hard to say. You can definitely learn and train (and get certified - which again doesn't necessarily indicate skill/experience) without a degree but getting the first job will probably be the hardest part.

Salesforce gives 10 free licenses to nonprofit organizations which means there are a decent amount of frum organizations that use it, so that might be a direction to look into / ask around about.

i work w 2 frum girls they happen to be salesforce developers though. I can say there’s definitely a big market of companies that use salesforce and there are Jews in the industry, but it’s not awash w Jews like the developers world is. This is how I see it at least. (Case in point, I’m in a pretty big frum dev slack channel and there’s plenty of talk. There’s a salesforce thread and no one Ever posts )

ETA: right I forgot about the non profit angle, true there are Jewish orgs that use salesforce so that could be an entry

I'll post an update when complete

what problem/Challenge did salesforce come to solve?

? I work on a team of admins and developers of approx 30 building out things for a big firm. You’re asking what salesforce solved for me, or what Salesforce’s mission is itself? Not sure your question? (Sorry I’m 0/1 on ask me anything questions  :-[ :D)

To partially answer the second question though: the admin cert got me in the door as they wouldn’t hire otherwise. And the other is an indication of your skills just like any college diploma (although I’d say this cert proves a good amount of experience and not just knowledge)

IMHO salesforce give you a interface where you can customize grids, I see people go crazy over it and I don't see what's so exciting,
its not like wix that the regular joe can setup from A-Z, you need to hire developers in order to make it work for you, and for developers they can set CRUD operations as well, so which problem set are they solving here.

and for you I guess it's a decision about your financial future to be a salesforce developer.

customizing grids? You clearly don’t have a very deep understanding of salesforce my good sir  :o

Think about all the automation and calculation and analysis you’d need in a small-mid-large corporation (I believe Apple t mobile and others use salesforce for internal business). Instead of hiring developers to build it from the ground up, it provides the building blocks of code to customize ad naseum. My mashal is that development is like manufacturing the LEGO pieces and then using them to build, while salesforce gives you the LEGO pieces already.

At the risk of bloating this post I will mention one feature I created which was allowing staff members to receive email notifications when the client has posted an in app message to them (they work out of email a lot so not checking the app) and they can simply reply to that email and it gets posted to the app as a response.
I’ve spoken to someone who was trying to compare salesforce to Monday.com. It’s literally a world of a  difference

In what capacity is it usable in a Mossad? Can it track tuitions/students, or is it purely a fundraising tool?

it can track whatever you want if you hire the right people, which makes me think just hire a developer team and leave salesforce behind

It started off as a sales tool, but now does (for better or worse) everything.

im curious if you’ve ever seen a playground org before? You are aware there is a big amount of prebuilt features available from the get go? You can use it for sales immediately.
It would take 10 times longer to hire a dev team to do this (and more expensive)
Also, you don’t necessarily need a developer to set up salesforce, a qualified admin (freelance consultant) is all you need.

Most people using it shouldn't.

are we talking individuals in boutique businesses/companies, or big corporations ? Honestly don’t know what crowd you’re talking about
