Thanks, referring specifically to community plan (jersey care)
Think it would need pre authorization, any info on how to obtain that? From pcp? Or elbaum?

Sometimes yes. But I was given a "must" some 6-7 (or more) years ago and procrastinated. Still no issues BH.

As long as you go to the dentist regularly & he keeps an eye on it you're fine. I once skipped a few checkups & a wisdom tooth had knocked into the next tooth & I needed a root canal on that tooth.

Consider me crazy, but I'm surviving all this time with routinely skipping my routine checkups.

I don't consider myself one of those  :(. Unfortunately, I have many fillings that "accumulated" over my childhood years. (IOW, it's no fun for me to chew on a piece of aluminum foil  >:(  >:(  >:( )

Bump.
Any recent reviews of Dr. Herts?
Anyone not have any major pain after his work (wisdom extraction)?

If you're referring to Dr Hertz in Flatbush, I used him recently for a tooth extraction (not wisdom tooth, but a back tooth). All went very smooth. Just be prepared for a long wait time.

Wow! You weren't kidding!
I had to wait over 2.5 hrs before the procedure!
That on top of the fact that they told me not to eat for 6 hrs before meant I was fasting till 5pm, which actually led me to faint while waiting for an uber afterwards.

But b"h the extraction itself went pretty fast and smoothly. Hopefully will heal the same way.

I would go back to him (and I will for other 2 teeth), but I recommend asking for first appointment so no delays...

I'm not sure what the problem is?
I was pretty clearly referring to how the actual procedure went- which I said was quick and smooth b"h.
And I would be very happy with a 2.5 hr full recovery, which also did go very well b"h (had very little swelling last night already) .
