Medical insurance only covers "dental" that is required due to an accident or a congenital issue -- nothing else. Need "Dental" insurance for any dental procedures.
UPDATE: Center for Oral and Maxiofacial Surgery (Dr. Elbaum) in Jackson was recommended by many. They charge $450 per tooth plus a consult visit ($85) (The panoramic x-ray ($90 can be sent to them from the dentist). They participate in the UHP dental savings plan. The plan costs $130 a year (Rosenbaum, advertises in the Lakewood weeklies) and will discount the consult visit by 25% and will reduce the cost per tooth to $257. The total cost would be $1222. Does anyone know of a way to get done cheaper?
I just got an email from Costco advertising Costco/Delta Dental of California (Dental HMO Plan). From the Overview of benefits page it that the most expensive surgery is "Removal of impacted tooth - partially bony" and costs $190.You do have to be a Costco Executive Member though.(I don't know anything about the plan or insurer but I figured I might as well pass on the information...)
Thank you for posting but the policy states the following:Please note that this program, offered and administered by Delta Dental of California, is currently available only in California.(I live in NJ)
I got my root canal done in Ukraine a few months ago for a whopping $12.He did a pretty decent job too.
That's one of the scariest sounding things I have ever read on DDF....glad to hear it worked out well!
I had my 2 wisdom teeth pulled ( impacted) a few months ago, it was so bad that I never went back to get the other 2 pulled...
anyone heard of Dr. Marc Hertz in Flatbush? Should I trust him to remove my wisdom teeth?
lol by me he said after 2 that we should stop now because they were bad cases and I told him you better pull the rest now because there is no way I'm coming back
