Better? Not necessarily. At times this may be a bit cheaper. Ubers prices vary.

That being said, OP wanted "car service", I'd imagine he was excluding Uber and the like?

I found to Newark church was basically the same price as uber. I've been using them lately for JFK/LGA trips from Brooklyn. $48 car / $58 van. Uber wanted that day $100+ for van.
Scheduled with them in the morning and the driver called me 5 minutes before that time that he was waiting outside...
