The PSA is to take mental illness seriously and make sure the mother has the support and intervention they need.

I agree. Its been discussed multiple time across multiple treads. About mental health, awareness, going proper help. Its sad how with each case shoved under the rug, another one is unfortunately in the making. The answer, idk. But making going for help should be normal and should be written about in all the papers.

I don’t know the current story but it is possible for people to have support and help and still not be well. Mental illness is complex and not everyone or every situation responds to treatment.

And if that's the case, then as sad as it sounds they should be put into a mental hospital. I don't think everything has a cure, but more awareness will help people understand that the same way people die from cancer (even with treatment) some peoples mental illness is too strong for them to live unsupervised.

People are put into psychiatric hospitals all the time. Do you know for a fact that this situation was due to “pushing things under the rug? It is incredibly painful for family and friends to read and hear this kind of talk, especially since we don’t know the details.

It’s impossible to bury a story like this, double homicide will always be much more than just local township news. A number of articles have already started coming out.

I heard from both a relative and a neighbor that she seemed perfectly fine even to those close to her as recently as this week.

It’s not always possible to spot. Sometimes, episodes occur with no warning.
