Lets try to create a list of the site you used the Chase UR Mall to make a purchase, and you paid with a different credit card (not your chase card) and you still got the bonus points.

So here it goes:

AFAIK you don't need to use your Chase CC when shopping through the UR mall, just like all the other malls.
IME I have bought from Apple through UR mall and I'm pretty sure I did not use any Chase CC

I believe whats good about using a different card too, is that when returning the item there is less chances of deducting the points.

Not sure if this is true, as they track you order...

Also on the flip side, if you dont get the points, you would have a harder time telling them to give it to you

As it works like any other "Cashback" site, I doubt they wont take your points away. Have you ever tried returning an item you bought through a cashback link?

With other cashback sites I have returned items, and my points were taken away.

When you click through the Chase site to the retailer, your session/visit at the website is tracked. Purchases in that session earn points, and associated returns get taken away. It has nothing to do with the credit card used.

What happens when the website does not talk to the B&M when the return is made? What happens to the tracking?

I made a return in a B&M (BestBuy) and my points were taken back ... Dunno how all other stores would work

That would be a loophole. I was responding to the regular case where the question was how it is tracked if not with a CC.

I agree with you. What I am trying to draw attention to without getting out the spoon is the loophole.

There is nothing to spill. When you buy online and return in the store some shopping portals do not take back the points. It is trial and error to find out the ones that work.
