10 day rental in israel. Mazda 5 van. May 28-June 8 (includes 3 days shabos/chag). Noah car quoted $536 after all fees (have MC) for Hertz. Not sure if this is good rate. Anyone can beat this?

Chase Sapphire is great.

My Chase Sapphire is downgraded at the moment -
I have a Chase Ink Business but it doesn't cover Israel.

Hmm... May just end up using my Chase IHG.

So I guess the Chase Ink Bus DOES cover Israel. Any reason to use the IHG over the Ink Bus?

Anyway to determine the cost of the mandatory 3rd party liability from these rental car companies.  CC covers CDW and TP. But the 3rd party liability can vary and waiting till you get to the counter to find out your paying an additional $20 a day isnt cool.

It's never less than $10. Your also at the mercy of the rep, at times I've seen companies that charge much more than they officially do.

Keep in mind FOREX fees. Amex is generally considered better coverage. Check the limits of each.

Did Elbar change from Thrifty to Europcar? That's what their agent Pinchas Rottenberg is now advertising and that's the result I got when googling thrifty Israel. (it just directed me to Europcar Israel website)
