Yeah Moshe Lieberman. ( leemoshe@gmail.com)
Like everyone else has been saying but I'll add on. In Israel it is important to use an agent since online they quote prices but they dont quote insurance etc..  and also if something happens the agent should be able to take care of you, but if you book online and pay the high insurance and something happens you have to fight yourself.

Amex Business Platinum still says excludes Israel for their rental insurance.
Is that correct?

The answer is no, but if you want to be more comfortable with the answer , call Amex and ask. I know Israel rentals are included now.

Just FYI,

I called AMEX, requested and got the letter of coverage.

Thanks!

My brother picked up a car from Sixt in Israel, they told him they do not accept credit card coverage at all since a month ago.  They say the reason is because they have too many open claims with chase that they just stopped taking that..
Anyone hear of similar cases?
Does a legit rental company even have the right to deny rental insurance from the credit card even with a letter from them stating that they cover in that country?

I rented last week from Sixt in Israel and they did accept my CSR card, they did however tell me that there is a deductible on the insurance which Chase never covers.

3 questions:
1. Is it worth paying extra to rent from Hertz to gain the advantage of returning the car directly to the Airport terminal?
2. Otherwise, how long is the trip from the drop-off point with the shuttle?
3. I read the Hertz is in Terminal 3, is that were all El Al international flights take off? We will flying El Al from TLV to Madrid, Spain.

1. If it's just $15 extra (as it usually is) then yes, 100% worth it.
2. Can take 20-40 min. till you return the car and get to the terminal.
3. Yes.

I have a mitsubishi Grandis reserved from Budget in TLV for a week (tues-tues) for $298. I have a letter from AMEX that states I have coverage for CDW.  Anyone know what they might add in charges once I get to the counter?  How much is the mandatory liability insurance?

I know there are many factors but in general is it better to wait to book a rental car in israel to get a better price?  In the us at least the prices seem to flucuate  a lot

dates of travel are 1/15/18 to 1/22/18

In Israel the only difference in price is usually dependent on if it's low season or high season prices.

We still have low season rates throughout...

Question: I'm booking a 5 day car rental in Israel and was quoted a similar price from Noach Car rental (+the airport fee wtvr that is) and Hertz.

Which would you go with?
