Certainly plausible, but I don't have proof either way. I have asked both sides for more information/proof.

Not only that, it makes it seem likely the tour operator is not only at fault for what happened, but also at fault for slander.

I'll let @Dan be fair and balanced, but this is looking really bad for the Jews involved...

I don't get the reference that you reference at the beginning, but it's fine.

The only thing is that the timeline can't be made a bit more clear.
Dates with the year of when things happened etc would make it a bit clearer.

Also maybe make a break between your experience with cruises at the beginning to where the story begins

Vague threats of litigation are quite stupid when you are vaguely threatening a company with a legal department. You threaten litigation when you actaully plan on litigating, (or when you are threatening someone who doesn't have a lawyer.)
