Which is Better, Delta Skymiles or El Al Matmid

I assume this question has been asked before, but I am new here and a complete amateur. Please point me to an answer if you know where it is.

My wife and I both have Skymiles and Matmid numbers. By quirks of travel, I am an LY Silver member, she is not. Conversely, she is a Skymiles silver medallion member, I am not.

Taking that into account, if relevant, but regardless, we are flying to Israel on El Al premium economy, and back on business class. Which is more advantageous to use, our Matmid ff numbers or our Skymiles numbers?

LY allows you to use points even for 1 dollar off meaning no limit but in general the Matmid program is run very Israeli style (for every $10000 you get a dollar- a little exaggeration), and unless you are running for Matmid Gold to get Lounge access in TLV or VA Clubhouse in JFK and (star alliance?) I'd go with Delta assuming you have significant amount of points.
