Just following the lead of other best of political threads.
This is so classic. I started that thread years ago, long before she was the nominee. Her word salads were famously idiotic, ridiculed by left and right (in that thread is a clip from the Daily Show). She was so unpopular, she dropped out of the race without winning a single delegate. Other nominees who did a fraction of the campaign events and raised a tiny fraction of the money she did fared much better, and we barely even remember their names.
Now Biden gets shoved out and she becomes the nominee, not because all of a sudden people like her, but because she has the keys to the hundreds of millions of dollars, and creating a primary now would be chaotic and harm their chances. So within a few seconds, everyone loves her and she is the greatest politician to have ever lived. So we have a thread about her ridiculous word salads? (Again, created long before she was the nominee) We must show that Trump is worse!
No Trump supporter cares. For every one weird quote there is from here, there are a bajillion from Trump, his supporters know that (aside from the handful of true MAGA nuts who are not on this forum). This thread will not counter the other thread in any way.
If Kamala supporters came at with honesty - "We know she's an empty suit who has consistently made a fool of herself and was only picked after the Biden camp made it clear they were only going to pick a female POC - but we are going to vote for anyone but Trump because he's a danger to democracy" - that would be believable.
All of a sudden trying to pretend she has any sort of value or principles and is a likeable candidate is gaslighting of the highest order. Trying to match her up against Trump is silly. Those who will vote for him will do so. Those voting against him will vote for her. Simple as that. The election is not about how many people will vote for Harris or Trump, but if enough people will vote against Trump.
