But in reality, without DEI Gavin Newsom would've been veep in 2020, and be running away with this election. The fact that it's close to a toss up at this point tells you that choosing someone based on something other than qualifications can be a bad idea.

I was always under the impression that companies must hire a certain percentage of so called minorities, so if qualified ones aren't found then what happens? Am I wrong about this?

Listening to his remarks makes it much worse. How the ungrateful Jews didn't vote for him after everything he's done for them, they have no excuse not to vote for him etc etc. and of course his punchline that they'd be responsible if he loses. Literally makes you cringe.
