Newark business class lounge for elal

can anyone tell me if the lounge in newark airport is anything worth going to? I'm  hearing that soemtimes you can get a hotel room if you come early and wantto rest up. anyone know if that is true?

The EL AL Lounge is decent, but they definitely do NOT offer you a free hotel room anywhere. This is EL AL, not Singapore Airlines or Emirates

actually they were giving rooms at the mariot on a first come first serve basis but they discontinued it.
does anyone know what the food is like as far as hashgacha in the lounge at the marriot when u fly from newark?

the food is not bad! they have a COLD brakfest every morning (since they only have the 1:30 out of newark)

 ElAl used to use I believe the BA lounge at EWR. Then then they were asked to leave and in turn made arrangements with The Marriott Hotel to house their Lounge over there. maybe thats where a room @ the Marriott came from

Dont know if its still at the Marriott or if they other arrangements at EWR. there was suppose to be kosher food if Mehadrian I dont know Ill ask for you over on FT (Flyertalk check the ElAl forum later today for any replys its on the Miles & Points page).

They do still use the marriot and they used to give a few rooms also for first come first serve. they discontinued the rooms but they still have the lounge for elal. i just want to know about the mehadrin food.
