I have a Ring doorbell with their basic $5/month plan. I bought it 2 months ago when my old one died. They just announced that come September they are removing the Mode options for the basic plan. That is the way you can turn from Home to Disarmed and it will not record on Shabbos. They say you can upgrade to their $10/month plan to retain that option. I don't want to pay another $60/year just for that.
Does anyone know of any other way to have it stop recording on Shabbos? I have a battery system and removing the battery every week is not convenient. I also know I can turn off notifications. But I want it to not record at all.
