did anybody use the chevy referred/$1000 credit for installation of a level 2 charge in your house.  Qmerrit give the quotes and it appears it might be over $1000 or more to install?  is that reasonable or insane?
It's not crazy. If your electric panel is right near the install location you may be able to get it done for cheaper. If not, it will be more than $1k to install.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Update regarding my 2 Chevrolet Bolt Lemon Law claims. I was denied for a repurchase, so I filed a Lemon Law claim through Kimmel & Silverman PC, New Jersey Lemon Law Firm. Robert Silverman was able to get reimbursement for the full amount of my lease (including the 5k NJ rebate) plus my interim rentals which totaled out to about $12,500.

If you decide to use him, you can tell him that Jacob Ely referred you. No, I do not get a commission, I was just really happy with them and wanted to share..
12,500 for each or both?

No, but I considered it and spoke to some neighbors who did.

Not a bolt, but I charge by a neighbor. I still live in a basement, and didn't want to spend a few $k putting a charger in my landlords house.

You can charge at any outdoor plug. It just takes much longer.

You got $12,500 for each bolt or for both bolts? How much did you get for the rental and how much for the actual lease?

I know that a lot of people used Timothy Abeel Law Firm he only got back $6,500
EACH, B"h! I know an attorney who was using Timothy Abeel Law Firm and was unimpressed so he switched to Kimmel and Silverman and was very pleased.

I am including the rental amount as well.

The maximum you could get if you did not have a rental will probably be the amount of your lease which was probably about 9-10k for the base model before the NJ Chargeup credit.

Attorney contact info:
Robert Silverman
rsilverman@lemonlaw.com
18005366652

Tell them that Jacob Ely referred you. (I don't get any commission)

Keep me posted on what settlement you get.

Thank you

I denied my first quote (it was $1500 and I would have to pay $500 out of pocket), and then they sent a second company to give me a quote, and it came in within the $1000 limit so would be free.

Try again.  You have 180 days from purchase to get the installation done for free.

If anybody is interested in a Bolt EUV at MSRP of about $30k and ready to purchase right away, send me a pm.
Leasing is a ridiculous $600 / month, this only makes sense if you want to purchase it and get the $7500 federal tax credit.

Can anyone recommend an electrician to install a home charger?
I'm looking for someone that would do it with the permits and help apply for the federal and state grants.
Best quote I got was for 1850 including the charging piece outside.
I really don't want to spend more than 1250.
