I mistakenly left my garment bag yesterday at the gate area in EWR, gate 110. I only noticed after I landed in Berlin.

I called United, the agent was no help. I also submitted a claim on the EWR official website, but I do not have confidence that it will yield any results.

Any ideas on what I can do?

If it's at all possible to get someone to look for it at the airport, I think it's your best bet.
They should go to United and ask about it. Check the lost and find.

file with airline and with airport.

Lost a wallet, initially got replies that they dont have it, a few weeks later, it turned up! Had to pay a fee to get it mailed to me, but that is expected.
