They'll cover up to what you paid but only after your OEM warranty is over.

how do i know how long i have a warranty for? i imagine it would be around 90 day warranty.. no?

I posted this question in the deals thread looking for good tire deals, but I think this is a more appropriate place...

If I buy my tires with my SPG card, will I get an extended warranty on them?

We know the pattern for return protection -/+$100, is there a pattern for extended warranty when they ask for an itemised receipt and when not? I recently filed on $216 item they approved, but for $600 item they want an itemised purchase receipt which I on longer have or can get.

I filed a claim with Amex on my laptop. My issue was that its no longer able to charge i tried to change the charger multiple times but it seems to be an internal defect that its not charging. Amex said to send them an estimate of how much it will cost to repair the laptop.

Is the general rule with this that if it costs more to fix the laptop then they will just reimburse you for a new one, or that's not true?

All the reports seem to indicate that they just refund the purchase price after providing the estimate.

Just a note: platinum also has purchase protection on lost items! the others only have or damage or theft.

I bought a used graphing calculator or ebay. "Good working condition, just scratches on the body." The screen has too much static that makes it hard to read. The term of the seller was that I pay return postage.
I think I should not have to be out any money because the product was not as billed. I assume I open a case on ebay. If I lose, can I use Amex's return protection?whole cost covered. Purchase protection? faulty item.

Why don't you just dispute the charge because the item was not as described. Sure win w/ Amex, no?

But with amex you might be able to keep the item....I ordered a cell phone and the screen was see-through (meaning I was able to faintly see the keyboard behind the screen I was using). Amex paid me $100 for the phone and didn't ask for it back....

What are you saying?! With dispute you can definitely keep the item so why would you take a chance w/ Return Protection?

Bought my S3, transaction was for $243 on a gold that I have since closed. Over a year already. Phone fell into water and started freezing. I only asked for the $150 Sprint Assurion deductible that I had to pay to get a factory refurbished phone (why am I paying the $11 per month???) and got the entire $243 refunded. No questions asked. I did it over the phone. Not sure rep understood me 100%.
