if i made a purchase for a few items totaling over $100, can i make 2 separate return protection claims in order that each claim should be under $100 so that it would be processed without me needing to send in more information? or once i make a claim on a receipt for some of the item i forfeit the right to make a claim on the rest of the items?

i filed a claim and they told me to give in the receipts and then to call them. i faxed in the receipts, should i now call them or see if it goes through first and if not then call?

Purchased a brand new unlocked Motorola smartphone for $300 on eBay from a seller with a large eBay store using my Amex EveryDay card. After one month of ownership, I shattered the screen like a noob. Seller stated in their eBay listing that they only accept returns within 14 days of purchase. USA manufacturer's warranty is still valid until May 2016 but it does not cover accidental damage. However, manufacturer has a replacement program which allows me to swap it for a refurbished version of the same phone for $175.

I filed a Purchase Protection claim with Amex but did not give details on the seller's return policy, warranty, or the $175 replacement cost. Anyone file a Purchase Protection claim on a new Motorola smartphone recently? How long did the process take, did you get a full refund, and did you have to send the item back?

they'r just gonna end up calling you. You may as well call. They will ask why you are returning it and what condition it's in. That;s pretty much become SOP of late. Even for cheap stuff.

you will get a refund for at minimum the cost to repair the screen. You may be asked to bring it somewhere and get a repair estimate.

In the terms or when you file a claim. If in the terms it's new. If when you file a claim, that doesn't mean anything. They'll deny it for not being in Ernst of coverage for that card.

Can I just get an estimate from any local guy that has a computer repair business or does it really need to be an authorized repair guy? Will they refund me just for the repair estimate amount or if they approve it, it will be for the total amount?

So I bought a computer almost 2 years ago on PRG. It's running slowly and gets buggy and annoying. It does work but not to full capacity and is often temperamental and difficult.
What's the deal in regards to AMEX warranty. It was a $900 purchase so I have to assume they'll ask for it back if I file a claim. Does than mean it has to be really broken for them to accept it or will they also accept something that I say just isn't performing optimally. Anybody ever try something like this before?
