Buying furniture which comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. What would be the scope of the warranty offered by amex if i put in on that card? Would it cover any damages for the first two years or does it only kick in once the 1 year from manufacter expires? The furniture is fabric - think it would cover wear and tear?

Wondering if worth it to put on credit card and dont take cash discount...

Does amex offer "price protection" if you buy something, and you find a cheaper price shortly after, or only Chase SP?

Most, if not all, of the Citibank cards have that too.

Amex does not have price protection

but as David said Citi has Price Rewind and Discover has price protection read those T&Cs to see what is covered

A $19 watch bought from Amazon less than 6 months ago. Stopped keeping correct time. Casio has some sort of warranty. Can I go straight to Amex for their extended warranty?

Got this denial on a camera extended warranty:

Denial(s) on Claim include:
Under the EXCLUSIONS section of Extended Warranty, it states: Benefits are not payable
if the Loss for which coverage is sought was directly or indirectly, wholly or partially,
contributed to or caused by: …"1. any physical damage, including, but not limited to,
damage as a direct result of natural disaster or a power surge, except to the extent the
original manufacturer's warranty covers such damage;'...
Extended Warranty extends the original manufacturer's warranty for a period of time equal to
the duration of the manufacturer's warranty, up to one year. The manufacturer's warranty does
not provide coverage for physical damage; therefore, physical damage is not eligible under
Extended Warranty.

The place that gave me a repair estimate, wrote that there was a crack in the screen as well as power issues. The thing is, that the power issues that I was having, was going on way before the camera also got a crack in the screen. So even if they wouldn't cover the screen part, I was still eligible for extended warranty before that, since the camera would constantly shut on and off.

Where do I go from here, after they sent with this response and wrote that the case is closed? Can it be reopened? Do I have a case here? I never expected such a denial on a less than $200 Camera.

I think Deal Guy's experience (post right before this one) says no.

Am I the only one that dealt with a rejection from Amex?
Everyone here only had positive experiences? :)

I got no answers here.
How do I access the extended warranty?  It looks like I call 1-800-225-3750.  Is that correct?

Denied on grounds that the card I paid with is now closed, even though I've got other cards open.

I asked here because I didn't want to use Casio's excuse for a warranty.
My son found a page on line for me to file. (Although now I see that there's a link to it hiding in the wiki.) I got my refund within 24 hours. Not a peep about still being under Casio's warranty.
