ahhhh. Yes, trust me there is nothing better. I am just waiting to see if they want me to do anything else.

So they didn't ask you to send them the iPad? Now it really becomes worth it to replace the battery (if it's otherwise in good working order).

Once they pay you, I'm pretty sure you can celebrate as there's nothing left to do IME.

As for the $325, is that, by chance, how much you paid for iPad originally?
The credit has already hit my account I am just nervous that they will mail me a letter asking for the old one? (even though the $299 apple quote was for a swap)

In theory yes. However, I would like to sell this iPad (since its in mint physical condition and all it really could use (and this point its not a necessity) is a new battery. If i sold this for a good price (even $150 including a leather case) plus the money from Amex, I could buy a Refurb iPad 2 from apple for $350, get their one year warranty and get the Amex warranty for another year :)

They wont. And even if they do, you'd just tell them I swapped it in, worst comes to worst.

I placed a claim with extended warranty during the year that my camera still had the manufature warranty so I was rejected. The year is almost up and would rather pursue the amex warranty over the company. Will my prior claim on the camera ruin things?

AMEX Extended Warranty for Electronics

I purchased a laptop using SPG over a year ago. It's not working right and I'd like to return it and buy a new one. I'm not under manufacturers warranty anymore, just AMEX extended warranty.

I contacted AMEX Assurance Co. and they said if I get a repair estimate, they will pay me the amount of the repair, up to the original cost of the laptop. I filed all the paperwork with them already, except for the repair estimate.

I googled repair estimates for my issue, and it seems like it will be significantly less than the original purchase price.

Any way to just return the laptop to AMEX for a refund? I want to buy a new laptop. I thought I read somewhere on DD that with AMEX, you can return items. Thoughts? TIA.

Questions about AMEX extended warranty

If I make a claim about AMEX extended warranty,

1). do I need to send my malfunction item (like compute/tablet) back to AMEX or any repair company?
2). If yes for the above question, who pays the shipping fee? AMEX or myself?
