Amex Extended Warranty

So for the extended warranty for the field "ITEM COST WITH TAXES(USD)" do I put the actually charge that posted to my amex card or the amount on reciept? I got a partial refund for my purchase for my ipad because I did a trade in so the actual amount charged to amex card was around $200

Looking to purchase Dining room chairs and wondering which card if any would be best to put it on. For Purchase protection and extended warranty.. Would AMEX be better then Chase sapphire reserve? Or best to stick with AMEX.. (I would use AMEX Everyday preferred)

Open a claim online. They will likely ask for a repair estimate.

Possibly an eBike wouldn't be covered due to the exclusion terms involving "motorized vehicles". But I would still submit it, and get back to us and let us know!

It may be dependent on the person processing the claim. For example, for Amex return protection, one person called in and was told eBikes aren't covered due to their being a "motorized vehicle", but I in fact have had several covered through return protection. Conversely, I wasn't covered for some buggy attachments to a hover board due to there being parts for a "motorized vehicle", though the hover boards themselves were covered by a different Amex processor.

So, I am wondering as well if Amex would cover an eBike for warranty, and am hoping they would!

You perhaps would want to call it a bike instead of an ebike. However, if the problems are with the electrical portion of the bike, then this will likely be apparent in the problem and repair description.

From what I have read on bike forums, ebikes in general aren't covered for CC extended warranties,.

Yes, absolutely, as long as you still have an amex card open.

I just did this a couple of months ago. My card had been closed for years. The item I purchased had a 3 year warranty. I received coverage for the item in the 4th year by Amex when it broke down.
I needed to do a little more leg work for it. I happened to still have the old card# so I was able to help them find it.

Also, they at first did a credit to that old card number. I suspect after some time, Amex would have sent me a check for the negative balance on the closed account.
But, I called in to the War Prot # and they removed the credit and sent me a check.

Filling out a form for extended warranty for a laptop purchased on an AMEX Business Gold card - since it's a business card, it should still be covered even though it's for business use, correct?

T&C say that the clause excluding items for professional use is removed for Open Cardmembers, so I think that's what it means but want to be sure.

Apple will cover.
My wife more than once washed her airpods in the laundry. Sent them back and both times gave me a new pair.

Call or chat and start a claim. Tell them it sounds muffled and you tried everything to clean them and reconnect them. Tell them you want to ship it back to them(apple) vs a repair facility. You'll get a overnight label and box send to you, and within the week you'll get them back. No need to come onto amex. Apple is very helpful.
