I filed a claim for a dell laptop that initially cost $653. was asked to provide a repair estimate, which i provided saying that the laptop is not worth repairing (from a local shop).
couple of days later i got an email asking me to ship them the laptop, but i haven't received any credit back on my card or any communication whether the claim was approved. are they looking to examine the laptop before approving the claim? (its totally done, was dropped while on and the hard drive + motherboard need to be replaced).
i guess i'm wondering whether i really need to send them the laptop to have the claim approved as i read many people stating that they never sent the broken item when requested but still received the refund. If i have to send, do they reimburse the shipping?
