When I did the warranty claim on my computer this year they did not ask for the computer but I did need to send in a letter from a computer technician. I ended up fixing it for cheap and am now posting on my free computer.

Just checked the status of my warranty claim and it says closed. Does this mean i was denied? Did not see anything post to my amex acct.

means it was approved. takes 48 hours for credit to post. How much was claim for?

How else would they do it besides for giving me back the full amount? Happens to be 15 dollars of the purchase was for a battery that came along with the camera but they do not know that.

They do investigations. If they feel all or part of the amount is not covered by their insurance, they won't pay.

If you want to know how much immediately, PUTPAC, like I said above.

I filed a claim for a dell laptop that initially cost $653. was asked to provide a repair estimate, which i provided saying that the laptop is not worth repairing (from a local shop).

couple of days later i got an email asking me to ship them the laptop, but i haven't received any credit back on my card or any communication whether the claim was approved. are they looking to examine the laptop before approving the claim? (its totally done, was dropped while on and the hard drive + motherboard need to be replaced).

i guess i'm wondering whether i really need to send them the laptop to have the claim approved as i read many people stating that they never sent the broken item when requested but still received the refund. If i have to send, do they reimburse the shipping?

AMEX only matches the warranty length and only if it's a manufacturers warranty.
