I started using it, I actually like it with the recipe on the box as its filling even though it's not so tasty, I guess you can't get your kids to like it without adding sugar.

For breakfast, I'll often have 3/4 cups of 1-minute oatmeal, hot water, with some (about 10) nuts (almonds/walnuts), cinnamon, honey, and/or a few (less than 10) chocolate chips.

It's quick to prepare (1-2 minutes, with instant-hot-water), and it sweet/flavorful/interesting enough that I can have that most days without feeling deprived from something tastier. And I find it's filling for hours.

how much cinnamon, honey?

My point in mentioning the quantity is if you add a handful of (high-calorie) nuts and/or a handful of chocolate chips, you may offset much of the health benefits.

my point in asking how much, is because i tried to make it with cinnamon and honey it barely added any taste since i was afraid of over spicing with cinnamon  :)

chocolate chips I hear as its full of sugar, but what can be wrong with nuts?

Seed oils?
processed seed oils is the boogeyman.  Natural seed oils, with the seed, should be fine.

Nuts are very high calorie.  e.g. 14 almonds are 100 calories. A handful could be a good few hundred calories.

Quantity is an important variable, as weight is a factor influencing cholesterol.

P.s. 3/4 cup of oatmeal alone is 225 calories.

Once we're talking about this, here's my story....
A year ago I weighed in at 350. The week after sukkos I had , what I debilitating foot pain . A visit to the doctor showed 387 mg/dl , a1c 14 and sky high cholesterol...
Let's just say that was my wake up moment...
Today I'm off sugar and low carb,  at 227, 97mg/dl, a1c 5 normal cholesterol and jog 5 mi nightly.

Jogging/walking even 2 mi is a sure way to drop your sugar levels instantly.
Cardio will raise it slightly but not significantly.
I did go on 5mg monjouro until march but then it was unavailable and I haven't used it since.
Initially I ate 1100 calories daily, almost all low cholesterol protein and non starchy vegetables with minimal low sugar fruit mixed in. I've since added back some red meat but virtually no sugar.
I went from drinking sugary drinks and eating snack food in the road to drinking exclusively water and minimal snacking on vegetables.
Diet and exercise make all the difference.
I was at a point where I never thought it would happen but it did. I dropped from a 56 suit to a 46
I hope it can inspire others in need to make the change.
It's life changing
Great!
Same Experience Here
265 pounds. A1c 7. 155 LDL. 325 TRIGLYCERIDES.
3 months later, 50 pounds less. A1c 5.8. LDL 89 TRIGLYCERIDES 85

Google "the great cholesterol con", it's a fascinating read and very enlightening.

I haven't read the book, I'm not a doctor, and I know that I don't have the expertise to properly evaluate the scientific information myself and that I need to rely on others, but my understanding is that this hypothesis (it's all about stress and cholesterol has no impact) goes against conventional medical wisdom (which makes it less credible to me, but that may make it more or less credible to others depending on your perspective about conventional medicine).

Moreover, the book is from 16 years ago so it's pretty stale and there are at least 100's of studies since then supporting the cardiovascular and overall benefits of statins, including many long-term studies not done by drug companies, as these drugs are now largely generic.

P.s. You might read the top 1-star review on amazon for the scientific critique, though I am not qualified to evaluate that myself.
P.P.s. This is not to say there are no side effects or risks associated with statins.

Not arguing about your points but in these 16 years there were also 100s of studies against.

Read and know which questions to ask your doctor.

the main point I realized from this book and other books and also saw from personal experience is, that carbs are the main culprit not fat or protein. Many many people I know personally (including myself) brought down their cholesterol to the normal range through a keto diet and exercise. I wasn't saying that book in particular rather research the whole subject and you should find the truth.

You would be surprised how little your doctor knows about this subject.

It really depends on his age. The younger they are the more they know.

However it doesn't work for everyone! A keto diet can actually worsen cholesterol "numbers"  for certain types of FH.
