As someone commented on the giveaway page - it would seem more useful (at today's prices) to give away 5x$2000 because $450 is close to useless.

Value = the normal price it could be had at.
MSRP = The price the stores wants you to think someone must have paid, so see this sale price is a great deal...

I didn't make this comment on any other item. Value on some of the other giveaway items is much more fluid than silver, which has a defined value. The fact that a fancy brand sticks a sticker with an inflated price on the bar of silver does not raise the value of the silver.
Anyway, we can prob move on to guessing what todays giveaway may be...
