and awards less than 1 mile per $10.60 spent?

Do they transfer at 1 to 1?
Based on other cards I don't know if they transfer at the same ratio as American cards. I think it can be as low as 5 MR per matmid point.

Is there a link for transfer ratios?

No idea if this chart had anything to do with it but a quick Google search just brought this up.

There's another card that charges more than $2,000/year and awards less than 1 mile per $10.60 spent?
There are plenty of cards targeted towards those with poor credit that offer zero points, zero benefits, awful credit lines, and predatory APR rates, that charge annual fees just for the privilege of being a member.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Why is everything in Israel so complicated?!?

The the USA you have a few thousand HHing MSers in a country of 3000m people. In Israel you have millions of people trying to gave the system, and people with that same mindset designing and managing these products/programs.

The only upside is you can open the card for one month and get the status everywhere and find out many more details about the customer service and then make a decision for the next month. In contrast to the american card with a $7500 initiation fee.

Funny, I had the same thought running through my mind.  Being that this is Israel, they may very well forget to cancel the Hilton Diamond status after cancelling the card.  But unless I had a bunch of Hilton stays in the pipeline, definitely wouldn't want to wager $168 to figure it out.

Here's my list after a brief perusal of the pamphlet:

1) Insanely high annual fee (and still high even if you order the free additional cards and average out the cost)
2) No guests included with the PP membership (except for Dan Lounge)
3) Limited MR transfer partners - nowhere near what the US card offers
4) Poor accumulation, as you already mentioned
5) No car rental insurance (although it does offer travel insurance)
6) I'm assuming there are FX fees -- I have yet to find a card in Israel with 0 FX fees
7) None of the other various perks even US Platinum Amexs offer (e.g. redemption rebate, Gogo internet, etc.)
isn't the us centurion $2,500? Plus the 7,500 initial?

Did your father end up getting the card?  Anyone find out if indeed anyone willing to pay the fee can open it?  I have a gut feeling there may be additional unlisted benefits beyond what was mentioned above (and another interesting theory about using the card as a jumping off point).

Just came across this thread when searching for something centurion related. The Israeli centurion is a waste of time and money but for one benefit which is the travel insurance cancellation cover. Otherwise poor customer service and generally a waste of time.
