I'll have to look it up again, but IINM in such a case where she wasn't born in EY and doesn't live there, they might not force citizenship on her kids. Don't look to the consulate or embassy for answers, they are clueless. I'll try to look it up. She can definitely renounce.

If the parent only has citizenship though their parent (they didn't make Aliyah /born in Israel/live there) the children will not be given citizenship as that would be 3rd generation pass along

There is possiblity of fighting if the Aliya and aziva was both as a child however renouncing my be easier

Well, based on responses here she would be considered an Israeli citizen, required by law to register her children as Israelis (major PITA - requires apostilled copies of birth certificate and proof of birth).

Is her US passport still in her maiden name? If yes, get a new one pronto.
I highly doubt that if the Israelis dont know of her marriage, nor her new surname, that they will be able to connect her married identity to her child Israeli one AT BORDER CONTROL. Al achas chama vechama her children with a different last name.
When her kids come to IL to learn and need a student visa its a different story alltogether

Do we have any dps about the ETA-IL as it relates to Israeli parents? If you can still get approved than you should have no issues at all. When going through Border Control they dont look into your parents info.
