Yes I'd love to see this slimeball out of work, but his status for 2025 seems quite up in the air. He did win reelection, so just because he said he doesn't plan to serve doesn't mean anything. If he did go back to the House there's also a debate about the status of the Ethics investigation, since it was technically closed due to him no longer being in the House, and it seems unclear if it would automatically reopen or what would be involved in doing so.
Others want Desantis to appoint him to Rubio's Senate seat (siccing him on those who just refused to confirm him as AG) though I really hope Ron is smarter than that. I think most likely is Trump appoints him to some WH advisory czar position that lets him continue to make headlines without needing confirmation.
