Yes, we're in a deep frightening Golus in Israel.
The truth hurts. Seems there are people who are too sensitive  when it comes to decrying Chilul Shabbath, or when one criticizes the thousands of israelis flying overseas to watch a synthetic piece landing in a hole with abated breath, then if they win, scream and shout like the most vulgar people on earth. These are jews?!?

What kind of vacations are OK in the current climate? Is skiing OK? but thats just silly sliding around on a hill on sticks. Is canoeing OK? but thats silly sitting in a plastic bathtub and pushing sticks in water. Is hiking OK? but thats just silly walking around outside with no purpose. Why eat in a resturant? Thats silly redifus hagashmius - you'll be fine with pita and chumus/a roll and peanut butter.

Honestly, the perponderance of these people (IL secular jews) likely dont keep shabbos, kashrus or Taharas hamishpacha properly. Why is it their choice of vaction in time of war the thing that cheeses you off at them?

kids that you spent 18 years raising b'kedusha and tahara drafted into the army and throw off their kipa. I had a Chavrusa in Yeshiva who went to the army because he enjoyed the outdoors (we hiked all over E"Y) and went off. I currently have a Bochur I learn with who is being hounded by the army.

What I was trying to point out in my post was the hypocrisy of the IL government as they show themselves as the saviors of Klal Yisorel while they oppress the religious and actively trample on the Kedusha of Shabbos. I know its hard for an American to understand this, and when i lived there i also actively supported Israel, but this is what is actively going on, especially now with the draft issues.
