What's the best non apple tracker? Decided its time to track my tefillin. Luggage, etc, but I don't have an apple device, other than a work-issued iPad.

From what I've heard if you have a Samsung device the Galaxy smart tags are the closest thing to an airtag

Is comparing these tags to Air Tags apples to "apples"?
The apple ecosystem has millions of devices all over to track your tag thousands of miles away, not sure how much Samsung and the others have. How would you find your tefilin if you aren't next to it ?

It's only a matter of time before the android trackers beat it IMHO (especially out of USA) but alas apples is the strongest at the moment.

Can an Apple device user opt out from tracking foreign tags? Is it opt in by default? What about Android? Does every Android device automatically track any brands tag within range? Is there a standardized protocol and framework?
I don't know the answers to these questions so perhaps I am just misinformed but my impression was that apple has a lot more control on all of these as it is all controlled by them from a to z

It will have to become a standardized protocol like Bluetooth, WiFi etc for it to be streamlined enough

Tile works with all phones.

tile tracks using any phone which has the tile app downloaded, android or Apple.
Afaik Samsung only tracks using Samsungs phones not all androids, could be I'm wrong.
