Meh. I've seen worse. Sach Hakol they gave up some grammatical correctness in order to render the quote more accurately. I thought you were on about the Nun/Final Nun.

Back in my day I've seen some seriously hideous Yiddish by the Tzfatim but I believe they've since upped their game.
It's atrocious. It's like saying, "Whom are you?"

Putting it in quotations takes away some of the atrociousness.

No, it accentuates the atrociousness.

I guess we have a different approach to atrocious grammar :)

Once we're talking grammar and spelling I'll point out that the 2 big yechi signs in 770 are spelled differently.

In case you need one more reason to tear them down. ::)

How are they spelled differently?

Don't know but I would guess that if the pronunciation is on the preceding letter, it should be followed by a yud.
If you don't care why would you comment?

I am pretty sure the yud makes it לשון רבים so it would be "our masters, our teachers, and rebbes" all plural.
I am not sure why they would leave the yud in רבינו but take it out of the other two.
A quick search on Google found that some leave it out of רבנו and some keep it in.

I think moshiach will have to come though for us to understand dikduk.

That would be raboseinu, dude. You're talking out of your pipik.

You're right.  I am no dikduk expert but let's leave my pipik out of this.
Are you maskim on the other two that I am right?

No, I am not maskim. It makes no sense.
Adoneinu is our master whether the yud is maleh or chaser. Adonoseinu would be plural, although I have NEVER heard or seen that word used.

I don't think you're right but I will have to look into it.  Now I am curious.
Dikduk is probably one of the worst ways ever to take a thread off topic but ....

In short the correct grammar is without the yud's (I don't why exactly)

And this cloth sign can't be replaced because of some court ruling/din Torah/agreement (Idk which) so the decision was to keep up this sign with incorrect spelling over not having it at all.

You're right. A yud makes it rabim. And by adonaynu and morainu its wrong. Rabeinu is a diff story, cuz the word ITSELF is rebbe not rav. So that is why there is a yud. Vedal

That makes no sense. If the word is rebbe, then it's also adoni and mori. The shorashim are adon, mar, and rav.

ETA: Just noticed the vedal, so just in case that indicates the whole thing was in jest and referring to 'The Rebbe' so to speak, well played. Otherwise, ignore this part  ;D
