IMO not our job.
Change of priorities and cut all that fat is legit. Burning CIA assets gains nothing for "America first". Let countries and their intelligence do their own homework.
If we have new geopolitical/intelligence priorities, then by all means, let trumps appointed intelligence leaders make that determination and share that Intel case by case. Not the DOGE geeks without the intel background

In any case, it should be pretty obvious just by looking at which orgs suddenly don't have any money

Argues that Musk being able to exercise authority over the CFPB is a
conflict of interest due to his stakes in finance-involved businesses.

Out of curiosity, what does his company do?
it’s a giant info and analytics company used by law firms (I’ve heard about it at work from time to time) and government. It has all public news articles legal documents financial data etc so it’s pretty useful and would have a good finger on the pulse of where things are holding in the world
nothings impossible- the word itself says Im possible

So if the government decided to step up verification at all levels. Would his company benefit?

not sure if I misunderstand your question, but lexisnexis is not a security or verification system company. They just sell subscriptions for ppl to access their huge library of data and analytic tools to understand the data. He’s essentially a librarian for a big virtual library

With all due respect to LOTT, that's not what he said. He said that almost 1 trillion a year is lost to fraud and abuse. He also listed ID as one of many systems that can be enacted to help reduce that fraud. He at no point implied that ID would magically solve fraud.

I wonder how much they get in subscription fees from the government

$33.2 Million total since 2008 (if I am reading this right).

ETA: Seems like I read it wrong. This number is just for the past 12 months. Looks like this division got $135.32M since 2008, and other parts of the company got around $50m in that time.

So roughly 2mil a year? For a company that makes 1 billion plus?

We are only 3 weeks in, and these comments already did not age well  8)

The biggest problem with this is...
That the greatest expenditures from the Govt budget are mandatory expenditures that need changes in law to cut, some of which DJT has already said he won't be touching.
Its sort of like someone figuring out which CC will give him the most points when he's hundreds of thousands of dollars underwater each month.

That sounds like a 20+ year project, not one that will be compleated by july 4, 2026

In the tweet. She wrote that he said that "robust ID verification" could save $1 Trillion.
