Unfortunately, there have been countless campaigns post-tragedy in our community that have been found not to be 100% kosher. From campaigns that are misrepresented, to ones that are against the family of the nifter (ie when somebody/organization started to collect money to write a saifer torah liluy nishmas one of the Lag Baomer kiddoshim, while the family had no clue who it was or where the money was going), to straight out scams. People who are familiar with our community know that we are rachamim bnei rachamim and unfortunately there are a handful of people who take advantage of any situation possible. When I clicked on the link, I didn't see any indication that it was real and I don't think that the question I brought up was unreasonable or insensitive, considering somebody posted it here without confirming that they know that it is a real campaign.
Now that people confirm that they know the campaign is real, I gave.
I'm sorry if somebody was hurt by my post. I have taken it down and maybe @EliJelly will do the same with the quote.

This says they got them in a foreign country, but not necessarily was Israel involved.

Not hard for UAE to pressure Turkey to give them up FWIW.
