Chase canceled application after approval for fraud

Someone applied for chase ink sole prop and got a verification phone call the next morning. Got approved on that phone call and then got a letter in the mail that the application was closed bec of suspected fraud!? does any body know more about this?

I recently got approved, 3 weeks ago, over the phone and never received the card/seen it added to my account. Next time I called, I heard the 7-10 days message which usually means denied. I have to call again.. but I wonder if same thing happened.. haven't received letter yet.
