It sounds like it's possible that BA will honor the promo and take the hit themselves. That could be why people are seeing the points despite the fact that realtytrac says the promo was unauthorized.

did tht too, i logged in today and it said account inactive click to reactivate, and the vcn is not working!!! wonder if the points will post?

Yeah, and realtytrac automatically canceled all the accounts signed up through BA, so if you put in CC info and want to cancel to make sure they don' charge your card, no need.

No, before I looked online I thought it meant if I buy some kind of something for that price they'll give me the bonus miles, obviously that wash;t the case, so it's no good.
Unless tesco sells their points (like amex does with MR), it might be worth it with this promo. On their website it doesn't lust such an option, but neither does amex.
