Amex Corp Platinum or Amex Small Business SPG

It looks like the general consensus is that the Amex SPG card is the most preferred.  I'm looking at applying for corporate cards through Amex and they said that any business that has revenues over $4M is not classified as a small business and need to open an account and it seems like the only comparable card is the platinum card except for the $395 annual fee.

Is there a big difference in the points accrued from the Platinum corp card vs the Small Business SPG card? 

The other option is to apply for a personal SPG Amex card but it will have a preset limit where a platinum card won't.

SPG points are generally more valuable than AMEX membership rewards points.

It looks like 1000 MR points = 333 SPG points, but with Platinum you get automatic SPG Gold and Hilton Gold. 

Is there more value in having gold status at hotels and get upgrade benefits or is it better to have the points to get free nights?

You can get SPG Gold by just asking them nicely.

Call again and ask nicely. I've done it at least 5 times. And Tommy, if you don't know why SPG points are worth more than AMEX points, and if you are saying things like 1,000 MR = 333 SPG, then you gotta start reading more of our forums
