It's been mentioned  in other forums that Fido got wise to that also.  I churned last year but deposited
full amount this year , and intend on keeping the cash in for the 6 months .

I will not violate their T C s and will be eligible for bonus again in a year.

PS even when you wait one year speak to a rep because computer will auto deny as
happened to me . They had to manually post miles
Thanks for the explanations.

Did you close your old accounts first? Mine are still open, and I'm concerned it'll look weird if I close them, and then call them a few weeks later to ask about the bonus.
When you called them, did they bring up your old accounts, or did they not see anything?

I have had a substantial account at Fido for  more than 18 years .I was a very active trader years ago.  I have not changed or opened nor closed my original account.

All these maneuvers to get the bonuses, have been in addition to my real investments .

They are the cherry on top of the Sundae!

I transferred in $50 k from 2 sources. If I transfer on another $50 k over the next 2 weeks do I still get the full 50k points?

If you do in the allotted time, Yes .

Which I believe was 30 days. check T & Cs. People have gotten the
50K in multiple postings IIRC when transferred money in over time

When siging up there are 2 options 1)Brokerage Account or 2)Brokerage/cash management account

Which did everyone do?
Seems to me that option #2 is FDIC insured vs. #1 is not. CMIIW.

I did the Fidelity thing last year with churning money and got about 115k points with UA and Delta. Did not do AA yet is there a downside in doing it with 25k? That is all I can do right now.

I am not sure even after reading this thread how I actually switch to get Delta points after I get the United points. Can someone point me in the right direction? I know you guys aren't shy!

My understanding is that you can fund an existing account to get the bonus. no need to open and close accounts. All that matters is that you haven't had a bonus in the past 12 months. Am i missing something?

You register for the Delta promo from Fido . Better if You  call and they will send you an email
Invitation .
Record who you dealt with becase the system is auto denying multiple bonuses
and they have to be manually added IME .

This negates the churning of cash IMO  for second time bonus getters.

I am assuming I should select brokerage acct when setting up? Doing new acct under a bro who lets me use his info. Idea is to make myself an AA acct under my name and use that. Then I will transfer it into my acct.

I posted yesterday that brokerage is not FDIC insured.
Why not do a cash management account?

Brokerage account is insured by another insurance company SIPC . You can chose FGRXX Fidelity Government bond fund and unless Fido goes bankrupt your money is guaranteed by federal government

No big fear of Fido going bust.  We will all be dead if that happens   ;D

@Fan of Dan:
Why do need to open a new AA account and then transfer to your old one?
Why not have it deposited directly into your old one?

Would it be a problem if I want to use the same AA acct for myself at some point? I wanna do it for me and my brother but can only do 25k now.

IIRC there are posts above in this thread by some who used one FF account for two Fidelity accounts and they got the bonus for both.

Amazing then I will do that. Last time  around I did a brokerage acct and got the miles so figured would do it again.
Have you gotten the miles with the money management acct?

Do I need to load the funds right away? I would prefer to first wait the ten days before I put in any money.

It was me. I did it b/c I didn't want an orphaned miles account.
Worked just fine.
