$45k is same as $25k which gets you 15k. You should've up it to $50k for 25k.

I was pretty happy with how quickly this whole thing worked out. The points posted today, although the post date shows the 15th. Do you guys have any opinions of the likely hood of a clawback if I withdraw? I may have to be the guinea pig as I will need the money by the middle of March.

it seems like this is your first round? Anyone take the plunge for year 2 (i.e. did this last year already)? would love to hear some good news about your experiences..

This is my second year actually but the fidelity account I just used wasn't under my name, just the FF account.

Wow, I just read through a couple of pages of this thread and boy am I confused. 

I would like to this, but i'm totally lost.

Main question right now: How much cash do I need available in order to do this, and how many months does the process take?

Anyone volunteering to wiki this thread? Or is that a bad idea?

Pretty simple. You need a minimum of 25k which will get you 15k points, 50k will get you 25k points and 100k is good for 50k points. U can earn one of  either UA or AA or DL points per year.  Setting up the account till u get the points can take a couple of weeks. Not sure how wise a wiki is.

 Also, is this per calendar year, or rolling 12 month period?

These days recycling doesn't work anymore, that ended sometime last year. I think it's rolling 12 month period, not positive, although that seems to be the case.
