Unless I am the luckiest person in the world there is no audit risk.
Even if you are reporting minimal income and transfer 200k to your account?

I never did 200k at a time but did many times that amount over a month’s time.

But the brokerage doesn't see your income, and the IRS doesn't see the transfers.
I don't see where the risk is.

Yay, the final 50k miles just posted. In the end, I received 25k into both accounts after crossing the thresholds, for a total of 100k. Now I need to decide if I want to push forward to get a higher Apple gc, or start the process for my wife.

To recap, I've been putting in around 25k at a time, and then transferring in and out. It's taken about 5 or 6 weeks to do the whole process.

Easiest way of making 100k miles, w/o needing a credit pull.

Yep, they appear to track it on a cumulative basis, so it needs to add up to 100k (or 300k if you want the $500 Apple gc).
TD Ameritrade is much smarter. They put in half imm, and the other half after 6 months with the req funds in the account.

This offer has been extended for Delta for another year!
And not only that, it is no longer for one person per household, but anyone can earn miles.
I've already taken advantage of this offer but now I can get dh Delta miles as well!

who is doing the audit
the irs doesnt receive details of ur transfers, just sales, so they dont know
and fidelity doesnt know ur income so they dont know if the amt looks too large

i think that fidelity catching on is a bigger risk

FYI, I got the Delta promo last year but tried signing up again (for DL) with the hope that a double-dip would work since it's a new promo.  Didn't work though - got an automated email that "not currently eligible for this offer".

i know in general not to call but fidelity will sometimes overide it manually .

listen there is 2 sepearate situations here

1) first time customer and getting all 3 bonuses
2) people like me who have gotten bonuses in the past ( over 2 yrs ago) and want to take advantage of a current offer like delta or apple . Alot of times if it has been a long time plus new cash they will be willing to give it you.

they said i can get the apple gc, the question is if i can churn the $ in and out to get the 500 gc? any personal experience who has actually gotten the card?
