I was on the maiden flight from TLV-JFK and took one of the returns later that week.

it looks like they are still working out the kinks I wasnt able to check in online.

Staff on the plane is a mix of iberiajet and Arkia

They took a plane made for short flights and used it for a long haul flight.
Both Flights were almost full. 60%+ were frum
TLV-JFK they only had one option and the food wasn't mehadrin (and not double wrapped)
JFK-TLV ALL Food was from fresco (and double wrapped)

reminds me of towerair with smaller seats

Same experience for a costumer who flew today. No mehadrin meals ex-TLV.

Do they still have the option to have an empty seat next to you for $100?

Regardless of seat size that seems like a no-brainer to me if still available.

I’ve seen flights where they sell all the seats. Not sure if there’s a specific pattern to it.

From what I understand from Arkia they have a weight restriction, that's why they can't fill to capacity, they confirmed to me that ex tlv they can fill more seats than ex jfk! my assumption is when getting closer to the flight they see their low on cargo they sell the seats.

Interesting. I actually saw the seats blocked ex-tlv and not ex-jfk.
How can they decide to start selling middle seats after people pay for the empty seat?
