What's the easiest way to get movies and get them on a usb?
Easiest? Probably torrent and then just transfer directly to a USB.
Is there a site where I can pay for a movie and then download it and transfer it to a USB?
Amazon?
AFAIK the legal methods come with DRM. That's why I suggested torrent for easiest method. Once you're stripping the DRM or ripping a blu-ray, what's the difference from downloading a torrent?
I used to take movies I owned and using Handbrake had them all on a USB. I don't have any experience using torrent sites honestly. And I have no issue taking a video I paid for and putting on a PC or USB for my own use.
I haven't used Handbrake in years but it should still be a good choice if you have DVDs. If you buy your movies from apple or amazon you'll just need to buy software to strip the DRM but the process should be pretty straightforward.
Anyone have any tips on avoiding DMCA issue from your ISP with torrents? It seems like you need a VPN that works with torrents, but none of those seem to be free.
a good vpn is worth the money/ can try other methods https://null-byte.wonderhowto.com/how-to/hack-like-pro-anonymously-torrent-files-with-tribler-0159789/ or a site that lets one download without seeds trackers involved (not torrent)
Tribler sounds interesting. I set it up, but couldn't find what I was looking for through their search. Can I just grab any torrent and get it going in Tribler, or does that ruin the anonymity part?
Better to use VPN with torrent if that's the route you want to take.
Any recommendations?
