Has anyone ever rented a sim card from unlimited Israel (http://unlimitedisrael.net/product/sim-card/)? How were they?

I have an unlocked iPhone 6 I want to bring to Israel for a week and need unlimited data. Anyone know any other places to rent a sim card?

I'm going to be in Israel for almost 2 weeks a little after Pesach. I have T-Mobile which gives us free data (slow speeds at about 128 Kbps), free texting and $0.20 a minute calling. There's also free calling to the US if you're using Wifi calling. I figure that the T-Mobile plan is good enough for my wife's line but was looking for something with faster data for my line to use for GPS and just regular web browsing at better speeds.

I read through the Wiki and it seems like the Golan plans are the way to go. I have an unlocked iphone 6 plus and an unlocked 5S. I think the 59 NIS plan should work. How do I sign up for it while living in America? I'm trying to put in my City in the address on the website and it's not working. After I type the city in it just disappears. Also, assuming I get it to work, how do I do the timing? Can I order a SIM now and just activate it later when I get to Israel? Also, I assume I can cancel when I leave Israel as well.

It is shipped to an address in Israel. you still want something right when you get off the plane so you have your tmobile. You can sign up now and activate when you get there, or order it a little closer to pesach. you can cancel online when you leave.

its a little bit of work for 2 weeks in israel, easier to go with renting a sim from someone here, but thats going to be somewhat more expensive.

also the golan plans are charged on the 25th(or 24th?) of the month, so if you have it from the 20th to the 26th you are going to pay for two months.

Interesting. Can you do a speedtest to see what the result is?

My wife used the international data in Canada and she was only getting 0.1-0.2 Mbps download speeds despite the phone saying 4g service. The speeds were being throttled. I'm afraid that the same will happen in Israel and really would like something faster while I'm there.

Thanks. I do have relatives in Israel and I can probably use their address and then pickup from them when I get there.

I will be there from the 19th to the 30th. So would I actually have to pay for 2 full months then or will they refund the partial months unused? If they don't refund for partial months I'm better of renting a SIM here in America. Of course, if it turns out that the T-Mobile international data provides 4G speeds, I can just use them the entire time and just deal with $0.20 a minute for calling. If I have Wifi when calling (and Wifi calling feature turned on) then calls to the US are free.

Golan has free service abroad on their 99 shek plan but since i signed up when their was a promotion for 59, even though its the same plan they say im not eligble. any way to get around that?

AFAIK the fact that Golan bills you on the 25th of the month means you will only b paying one month since they always bill you for the upcoming month and not the past month.
So up until the 25th of the month you kind of have 'free' service.
I'm saying this based on my experience when I signed up to them. However, that was a little over a year ago so things might have changed since then.

I was in Israel from the 15th to 25th of Jan.

Golan charged me the SIM fee right away when I bought them.

The monthly fee was only charged on the 25th.

I paid for one month not 2.
