Thanks. Can I add voice calls to the US on this plan? I'm too old fashioned for hangouts. Also do I get to keep my number if I deactivate the plan after a month and wanna use it agaIn when I come back in 3 months let's say?

If you want to stick to that plan it would be 1.2 ₪ for 10 minutes to US/Canada, no need to add it on, as much as you use as much as you going to pay.

  Or if you want for an extra 10₪ (meaning around $2.80 more )you can get only 30gb and 260 minutes to the US/CAN included.

 And regarding your 2nd question about deactivating your plan and reactivating it when you come back I don't know if that works with Golan but I know it works with hot mobile as I have done it in the past and still have a bunch of lines Frozen very simple you call them they freeze it for you, that freeze works for three months after three months it unfreezes and you call again you can have it frozen for another 3 months untill you need it, I just closed a line with hot mobile which had 500 minutes to US/CAN Plus 12gb which I was paying only 29 ₪ a month instead of freezing it untill the next time I needed it.(silly mistake)...

  Don't know why you guys are afraid of using Google Hangouts/ Google Voice to make phone calls to the u.s. and Canada it comes out very clear and usually never get cut off while on the phone, it's extremely simple to set up and no reason not to use it if you have unlimited (or any crazy amount of gb as you get here in Israel)  another huge reason to use GV is the abilty  to connect my regular American number to it ,which allows anyone from America to call me on my Israeli phone( meaning they can still use their cell phones to call me as they're calling my American number) and should I want to call anyone in the US or Canada I can call them with my regular phone number as my caller ID while using Google Hangouts.

Don't remember, but I'm sure there's lots of small phone stores which probably add on some more money rather then buying it directly from Golan.
   I always went directly to the company never through one of these small stores,
  The closets one I can remember is by the tachane mercazy. ( Yafo St 228, Jerusalem)
    Pick up the light rail from the waldorf (5 min walk) and take it straight to that address going into the mall and when you come in on the left side you'll see a hot mobile stand and you'll see a Golan stand with balloons.

Probably be easier for him to go down only takes 5 10 minutes versus calling to activate it.
  For him to decide.

 - unlimited incoming calls
 - 200+ minutes to USA
 - unlimited SMS local and to/from the USA
 - No (or small) data plan (not being used in a smart phone)
 - virtual US number if possible

The wiki is so out of date, specifically the pricing with all the carriers as each carrier has different pricing and offers, each week something new.

This has been the tricky one. I don't mind paying a bit more for it - I'm looking for a plan that lets me add it.

We used cellularisrael.com for daughter, they offer plans straight from the provider. So it's the cheapest price possible

That's what most yeshivah boys and seminary girls do, they will match up the plan to exactly what you want.
  But they will tell some ppl they don't offer texting plans as there officially a kosher store, unless you buy it online.

I am Verizon customer here in USA. For my trip to Israel, Verizon offered me the $45 monthly plan with some limited calls, text and data. I am considering it instead of dealing with Sim cards. Does anyone used Verizon plan in Israel does it work well?
