Calls and sms work but not internet, it's quadband shouldnt it work or did i make a mistake?

for web to work you most likely need to go into the web settings in the phone and edit or create the apn(access point name) which is carrier specific...

looks like it's a good deal for American ppl 88 shekel for unlimited to Israel and the USA.
Of course if you need Europe so you're better to go with Golan or hot for 99.

Seems that for an American it'd come out cheaper with 012 than Golan..
Does anyone here have any experience with 012?  Do they run on the same network as Golan (cellcom, no?)?
How long after you buy order the SIM online, can you pick it up from the store?
Where do they have stores?  Never heard of them before...

Yes. U need 900 and 1800. The usa uses 850 and 1900. This is for calls and text. Data uses different frequencies.

i just went through the whole forum. i am going to israel for 2 weeks i have a tmobile bb. i want bb service and email and of course unlimited calling, sms, and international. i see with golan you cant get bb service so thats out. but someone mentioned pelphone for 120 shek and 39 activation but can i cancel after one month? is the cancelation process complicated? where do i get the sim from?

I just found out that Pelephone is not unlimited to the US, only 350 minutes. Very shady advertising by them

FYI, I walked into a Pelephone store (on the first block of Geulah -near the corner bank), they told me that they don't sell plans to foreigners, i.e. those who don't have a T.Z.

so whats the best plan out there if i want to use a bb? am i gonna have to give up my bb service and just go w golan w no data or email? if anyone knows of any good ideas please help

Thanks! Seems to me this is the best option for occasional visitors, since you can switch to the no monthly charge plan when you aren't in Israel.

are there pre-paid providers that will sell to a non-israeli-citizen?
i was under the impression that i can walk in to a supermarket and just buy a prepaid sim to pop into my unlocked gsm phone. but im hearing that they wont sell to a citizen? this is preferred option since other providers like nesmobile or talknsave are about $8/daily for voice/text/data

I heard there is a method to get your US number to forward to an israeli number, anyone know how?
